Liviu Bulea is a Romanian artist, curator, and cultural manager whose work moves between art, activism, and memory. His practice explores how collective stories shape, and are shaped by, the spaces we live in. Rooted in personal history and social research, Liviu reclaims forgotten objects, overlooked places, and marginalized voices, reimagining them through photography, video, text, and installation.

A cancer diagnosis in his youth sparked a deep investigation into the toxic legacy of industrialization in his hometown, Turda, a turning point that shaped his commitment to socially engaged art. Today, his work addresses environmental injustice, queer identity, and the politics of visibility.

LOVE LETTERS TO THE CITY

September 14, 2024 – May 30, 2027

Cities are more than concrete and asphalt, they pulsate with stories, dreams and emotions. The new exhibition at URBAN NATION MUSEUM in Berlin, curated by Michelle Houston, is a tribute to the city and an invitation to explore our urban living spaces with a new perspective. LOVE LETTERS TO THE CITY features works by over fifty international and Berlin-based street artists who utilize the transformative potential of art in public spaces.
